A great visit to the WWU campus in Bellingham, WA.
We took our son up here for a visit towards the end of the 2020 school year. He will be graduating soon and was accepted at Western, which he has chosen as his next big step in his education. Yes!
Having lived in and visited this area often ourselves, we found this trip particularly enjoyable. Such a beautiful part of the state and a college campus that is set so well within the environment to add something special to the college experience up here.
We got lucky and were visited by some furry friends while we walked the campus. It was surreal being up here in the spring during the pandemic lock downs, similar to visiting during a school break. The campus was pretty clear, aside from a handful of others taking in the sites and getting some exercise like us.
The trip culminated in a walk up Sehome Hill, which we highly recommend for anyone making a visit up here! There is a great lookout tower at the top of the hill and several side trails to get lost in. This is a very bike friendly area.
